SaveWave is an initiative based on maximizing small eco-friendly changes in our everyday lives to big effect. SaveWaves leave each participant better off financially while reducing their footprint (helping the environment) and improving their quality of life. SaveWaves are powered by, and help to strengthen, our social connections with one another.
We’re on a mission to create a wave of sustainable actions that inspire you and your community. SaveWave is developing unique opportunities for consumers and organizations to take action and create a positive ripple of change one purchase at a time.
Born out of a commitment to sustainable living, founded with the health of the planet in mind.
SHINE, or Sustainability and Health Initiative for NetPositive Enterprise, is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology researching and assessing the net positive actions taken by organizations and individuals.
Dr. Gregory Norris is the Director of SHINE@MIT and teaches life cycle assessment at Harvard. In addition to his academic work, he’s founded several non-profits and public benefit corporations, most recently Earthster, a cloud-based tool assisting businesses to assess product life cycles.

Watch our TEDxYorkBeach talk to learn how we use handprints to overcome footprints and heal the planet.
Our current view of our environmental role is incomplete, causing hopelessness, guilt and conflicts. What is missing is our power to heal and our social connectedness, which allow us to create handprints. This talk launches the first SaveWave — a wave of positive action paid for by the savings that it generates.
